Yogg-Saron and Heroic:Drive Me Crazy

Tonight wrapped up my return from vacation with a great night of clearing Ulduar25 man and yet another heroic achievement down for the Yogg-Saron List.This time (in addition to completing my own Heroic:Descent Into Madness Achievement),the concentration factor was at 100% when it came to making sure no one got their Insanity buff out of hand or under 76%,earning SK the Heroic:Drive Me Crazy Achievement.


Heroic: Drive Me Crazy
Defeat Yogg-Saron without any raid member going insane on Heroic Difficulty.

Criteria

Yogg-Saron slain


Every single one of Yogg's abilities have something to do with Insanity.
You start the fight with 100% sanity, which goes down when hit by his abilities.

During the fight, Sanity Wells will spawn, which are used to restore some of your sanity over time when you stand near them.

When a person reaches 0% sanity, they become mind controlled by Yogg-Saron til either one of them dies.

Sanity, from what it seems, is the true challenge in this fight, rather than receiving large amounts of damage.

Heroic: The Descent into Madness

Defeat the bosses of The Descent into Madness area of Ulduar on Heroic Difficulty.

Yogg-Saron and Heroic:Kiss and Make-Up

Working on a recent Yogg-Saron hard mode attempt allowed many of us to leisurely get this achievement out of the way.Sara must be mad to activate this achievement,so don't count on it if you cant make it to phase two of the this 25man encounter.

Here's a simple macro to activate the kiss that will enable this achievement in the transition from phase one to phase two.

Yogg-Saron Down for SK

As it would have it my well wishes before vacation came true. I was hoping to come back and find my guild finishing off Yogg-Saron,as we have been attempting him since the first week of the Ulduar Patch 3.1 Launch. As it turns out the official kill date for Sleepless Knights 25man Yogg-Saron and the Decent into Madness Achievement was May 7th,2009. 2 1/2 weeks into the patch and Ulduar is cleared for SK...time to work on hard mode now and other heroic achievements.

So did we have fun in Ulduar the first night? You betcha. Highlights of the first night of Patch 3.1 included 4 brand new achievements(which also finally got me over the 4k mark /happy dance),2 boss kills(that's with the lost time and demoralizing effect an instance shutdown in the middle of a boss fight produces),and brand new Tier 8 shinies.The part I love the most is that some of the tier 8 was paladin woot!Pretty soon we will all look like freaks of nature with the ridiculous full Tier8 set.I happen to like it...but just a recap of it to haunt your memories...

Flame Leviathon Down With Ease

 

The fun yet comical fight with Flame Leviathon today in Ulduar Patch 3.1 Live was just as uneventful as it's PTR predecessor.It still remains my favorite fight in Ulduar yet,as long as you are driving a motorcycle with a druid in tree form sticking out of your sidecar.

I was reviewing some wws reports before they get deleted from the system and I stumbled across my personal best on a boss kill.Although this boss fight consists of majority spam HL,controlling your mana to last till the end is crucial,and staying on top of your beacon rotation and JoL rotations is crucial.This rotation earned me an hefty 12,608 heals per second.
