Tribute to Insanity 10 Man

The Tribute to Insanity achieve 10man is a good way to gear up anyone looking for the much needed 258 capes that will ultimately assist in progression on Heroic Anub' 25 man (which is the current progression SK is focused on at the moment). After our raid tonight the group split into 2 ten mans to catch up on these much needed items that only the insanity run can provide, not to mention the personal closure on an achieve that takes flawless execution by the entire raid's part and a certain caliber on every one's game play who is present. The kill was righteous, and the adrenaline that followed was worth every penny. Tonight's loot has bumped me to 2831, pushing my own toon to 3rd holy spec pally on server, right behind my other great guildies according to the ever popular and wildy addicting wow-heroes website.

Author Update

Hello warcraft players and bloggers. Many things have happened recently in RL which has grinded my online presence to a sudden halt. Although I still play warcraft on a regular basis and push to achieve the more top end of raids, time spent has definitely decreased dramatically (my mana has wained!),especially when it came to updating this website. The last posts were aimed towards Ulduar strategy guides and gear level content peaking at the 226 region.

Well many things have changed for my toon and my guild progression wise. Sleepless Knights was proud to lead the way on the Realm First ever 25 Algalon kill, earning the very sweet title "Celestial Defender", and a little peace of mind closing out that chapter in progression. With the launch of the PTR and Icecrown closing in, many guildies have flocked to it in preparation for the upcoming new instances and mechanics. At the moment,SK is still pushing ahead in progression for Bronzebeard, leading the way through heroic 25 man Trial of the Grand Crusader. Progression is currently on Anub himself, and every attempt has been a fine tuning process.

Many videos have emerged recently from this very hard to achieve boss kill, but if you know the mechanics of the fight then you know that every second of the fight requires flawless positioning by the entire raid. I have been present on attempts pushed well into phase 3, and it's only a matter of time before the Anub is down.

As for me personally, my pally is still the most geared of my toons, peaking at a 2800 gear score (for those addicted to wow-heroes),while my alt shammy and mage hover around the basic t9 setups around a 2500 GS. They get the job done...and like i said before...RL has piled up again so it's hard enough to keep my main peaked without worrying about alts. (even though it's sweet my mage even has the "Tribute To Mad Skill" achieve...hehe)

Spending time with my own family, especially my kid, will always be my most important achievement earned. Until the next post...keep on focusing and there's no limit to what you and your guild can accomplish.

Hard Mode XT-002 Deconstructor and Heroic:Heartbreaker

Although I saw 2 achievements out of this kill rather than one,the one that truly stands out is our server first successful Heroic:Heartbreaker (aka XT Hard Mode).

Hard Mode
XT-002 Deconstructor's Hard Mode can be activated during any of the Add Phases. Destroying the exposed Heart of the Deconstructor will give XT-002 several new abilities:

*
Heartbreak - Increases XT-002's damage by 40% and hit points by 100% (Heroic: damage by 40% and hit points by 150%).
*
Void Zone - Causes Gravity Bomb to spawn a Void Zone, which inflicts 5,000 (Heroic: 7,500) damage to players standing in it.
*
Life Spark - Causes Light Bomb to spawn a Life Spark.
*
Life Spark - Casts Static Charged, which inflicts 800 (Heroic: 2,000) Nature damage to nearby players every 3 seconds.

I haven't posted as much content as i would like to lately, but raiding these conditions can take much practice and time.Between raiding at night, work, and making sure my kid comes first before any video game, time gets limited around my scheduale. The best I can do is post my progress.I'll save the thoerycrafting for the other 1000 warcraft blogs out there.

Hard Mode Flame Leviathon 4 Tower and Heroic:Orbit-uary

Last night was a fun late start to the raid week.Due to some attendance issues, the normal Tuesday start of Ulduar25 man was postponed to allow for 2 smaller groups to run 10man hard mode/achievements. The runs were flawless, and some more achievements have been secured from those runs.

The achievements that stood out from last night was our server first successful hard mode kills on both Flame Leviathan (Heroic:Orbit-uary) and XT-002 Deconstructor (Heroic:Heartbreaker). Also noted was another acheivement I must have missed on XT-002...Heroic:Nerf Engineering. This achievement is not that difficult to get,and does not constitute a hard mode kill. Only the Heroic:Heartbreaker constitutes as an official "hard mode" heroic kill.

I'll dive into XT-002 Hard mode on another post.

Some more random pics of phat lewtz always makes me happy.I mean if you think about it,we all go colorblind after years of play, except for the color purple. These were justa few more kills from the night. We raid hard and for long hours, but we are still laid back.Ulduar 25 w/hard modes is usually a 2 day job...leaving the weekend for family, the beach, and bruski's.

WoW Vacation

With Yogg-Saron 25man dead since the 3rd week of launch...the game is slowly losing it's grip on me. There's only so many times you can kill Yogg, and the loot tables don't seem to motivate the average end-game raid binger like they used to. With the news of the world first kill on Algalon the Observer 10man is a breath of fresh air for the progression guild community, letting real life slip away for virtual rewards is beyond me now.The kill proves this xpack will fall fast and hard, and many subscribers will fade.I don't see it happening for many top world ranked guilds for quite some time. The repetitious in and outs of Ulduar 25man for achievements and hard mode kills is what is driving guilds like mine, but as i said, it's slowly losing it's hold over me. RL is picking up, and with work, kids, bills, and an active social life,I've decided to take a break from WoW and this blog for a while.I have too many projects to attend to,and family comes first always.Time to let loose, take the Cobra out of the garage...and hit the beach and waterparks with my kid.

Life is too short to miss out on the really important things.Think about that.

Until the next post...I hope and wish your guilds nothing but success in reaching Algalon the Observer or defeating Yogg-Saron Heroic if that is your first goal.

Take care for now,

Joenutz

Yogg-Saron Down for SK

As it would have it my well wishes before vacation came true. I was hoping to come back and find my guild finishing off Yogg-Saron,as we have been attempting him since the first week of the Ulduar Patch 3.1 Launch. As it turns out the official kill date for Sleepless Knights 25man Yogg-Saron and the Decent into Madness Achievement was May 7th,2009. 2 1/2 weeks into the patch and Ulduar is cleared for SK...time to work on hard mode now and other heroic achievements.

Quick post-Back from Vacation Finally

Just a head's up that vacation in Scottsdale is now over and it's time to get cracking on the daily posts.Oddly enough the red-eye flight I just took to get home seemed to land me back at my computer on no other than patch day,go figure.

DiWooT! has left the building

Divine Intervention will take a short break from daily posts for about a week.I was planning on posting the week's events and everything that has transpired with SK's progression through 25man(currently on last boss Yogg-Saron),but personal business has provided me with a much overdue vacation.

I am off to visit my brother in sunny Scottsdale,Arizona. The change should be nice compared to the East Coast, which is where I live. You see...it's not like i play WoW for a living...we all have our real life gigs.I am a general contractor by trade, and have been a carpenter since highschool. This "vacation" to visit my brother is also a business adventure, for he needs my assistance in some framing and construction on his new house in Scottsdale. My brother is the family musician, and he is a jazz professional who teaches guitar lessons for a living in the Phoenix area.

Are you reading this and live in Phoenix also? If so you might want to check out one of the city's best jazz/classic/rock guitarist. Interested in learning to play your favorite songs but fail to get proper instruction? Give my brother a shout,he teaches at a professional level with an environment that puts the Student first.

Want to know more? Visit Chris @ PhoenixGuitarLessons.com for more info.

As for me,I will try to hi-jack my brother's laptop when I touch down in Arizona sometime in the next few days to update Divine Intervention's database and stories.
Until I return safely next week...I thank my readers who continue to come back to reference the strategy guides or check on SK's progress through Ulduar.

I put a lot of effort and many hours a day into this site, and would like some comments. No need to be shy.I am here to listen to your views and triumphs through Ulduar progression and everything Wrath of the Lich King has to offer as well.Leave a comment for me,and I will visit your site in return and leave positive feedback as well.I'm just a normal dude in an abnormal world.

Care to connect in other ways? You can always reach me @ my Facebook.

Until I return in a week or so,I bid you all farewell and good luck this week in your guild's progression through Ulduar!

Personal Best HPS/Pre-Ulduar

Wow Web Stats

I was reviewing some wws reports before they get deleted from the system and I stumbled across my personal best on a boss kill.Although this boss fight consists of majority spam HL,controlling your mana to last till the end is crucial, and staying on top of your beacon rotation and JoL rotations is crucial. This rotation earned me an hefty 12,608 heals per second.

The World of Warcraft Armory

This is a 4 way comparism based on PvP achievements.

Although I'd like to get my shaman and mage eventually where my paladin is in overall PvP,I dont think I have 3 more years to invest in all night warsongs to get exhaulted again. /cold chills.

A little more in depth of my toons

The World of Warcraft Armory

This is a 4 way comparison of my main and my 3 regular alts(not including the 2 lv.29 twinks and the priest named Holynutz sitting parked at 26 =P)With family life, bustops to catch, and birthday parties to attend to...this old man is feeling his age.Time to re-invest some time into the alts when Ulduar is under control.

Divine Intervention has a NEW look!

Divine intervention has a fresh new look! The old blogger style default black was hurting my eyes. The Warcraft All-Stars template is better layed out and much easier on the eyes.Since I'm new to the blogging community,I am also learning,so please bear with me.I have received some greatly appreciated advice and emails on setting up a blog about something you are passionate about, and the community has been great to me so far.Although DiWooT! is only a month old,I look forward to posting many more screenshots of my journeys, and I am very grateful for the kind and personal emails I have received so far on this site's progress.Thank you to the paladin community and those paladin's especially on my roll call bloglist.Your backlinks and kindness already proves there's a ton of great people in the World of Warcraft, and paladin's always have each other's backs. /salute

Site Under Construction

Apologies for any craziness going on on this page, learning the HTML for this new upgraded template is not easy.Over the next few days things need to be fixed, and links need to be replaced.Simply exporting my old blog posts onto this template took every bit of html script and threw it everywhere, causing my widgets and texts to be inbedded into the new template's complex structure. So i'm sitting here flipping my screen the bird for now trying to fix everything. When all is said and done, this setup will be better for a gallery style warcraft blog rather than some stock default blogger thing like I had.Uther give me the strength now not to cast /Divine Intervention.

WooT! I am now hosted.

Registering good dot com names can be tricky. I have my own dot com in the makings so I am pretty excited to be getting setup.I Hope I won't pass out tonight after the raid, I have a website to build dammit. So much to do in such little time...but for now i'm logging off to play soccer with my son.

The World of Warcraft and Social Networking

As a long-time patron of Blizzard I have been part of the game since the launch.Over the course of 4 years you come to see just exactly what you try to get out of the game each night.I'm not talking about what next great item you might win in a raid that night,I'm talking about what is your deeper goal. The kind that involves real people. Many come online each night not just to enjoy content, but also to just hang out with friends.Friends you might have known for many years if you have been a rooted player on one single realm since the release. Some of these friends you play with repetitiously every night may know you better than your own mother. The World of Warcraft has become much more than a video game...it has become a deep social networking tool that brings new connection to playing a simple game.

Online mmorpgs are not new in any sense, and many other games also have vast communities filled with servers upon servers and realms stacked on top of realms. The communities are there, that's a given. From online action platforms such as first-person shooters like Gears of War or Halo to in depth real-time strategy games such as Command and Conquer. The point is that the number of communities and population of all these games is impressive.Countless friendships and bonds, and also terrible incidents and distrust between long time friends and enemies exist across every game. These are real interactions with real players, and after a long time everyone kind of grows on you.Like one big dysfunctional family.

Why is World of Warcraft the best example of social networking in a mmorpg to date? How does this question apply to you and your long time game "/played"...and how would you answer it if asked to you.
